An entry point is where ICEE becomes actionable.
It connects one real constraint, one changeable interface, and one principle of learning. We begin small not because the vision is small, but because real change needs a place to start.
In the ICEE (Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Education) framework, an entry point can be seen through the Three Principles:
-
Personalizable Learning: students’ interests, strengths, questions, and passions begin to matter.
-
Problem Orientation: learners move toward finding and solving meaningful problems.
-
Human Interdependence: learners create value for others and grow through contribution.
It can also be found by locating a “crack” in the Five Changeable Interfaces:
-
Curriculum / Learning Experience
-
Pedagogy / Task & Relationship Design
-
Assessment / Observer & Multiple Lenses for Observing Growth
-
Events & Activities / Opportunity to connect with the real world
-
Environment / Learning Ecosystem
Since many of you have already shared important context in your Application Form, you do not need to repeat everything here. Please use this space to move your thinking one step forward.
Please reply with a short reflection using this simple format:
- My possible entry point is…
(This could be a class, a project, a group of students, a required curriculum space, an event, an assessment moment, or a learning routine.) - The ICEE lens that helps me see this entry point is…
(You may choose one principle, one interface, or both, or more.) - If this begins to work, the growth I might observe is…
(Please think of assessment in the ICEE sense: not only measurement, but observation through multiple lenses. What might students say, do, create, ask, notice, or contribute? Who might be able to observe this growth?) - One question I would like the CM(Courageous Minority) community to help me think about is…
(Human interdependence starts here. This does not need to be a polished plan. Small entry points can open real possibilities.)
